Not long ago, actress Lee Min Jung modelled for a romantic photo shoot with InStyle Koreafor the magazine's October edition. Wearing soft and feminine make-up, the actress posed for the camera with an almost wistful expression on her face.
Soo Ae, who makes her return to dramaland with The Man Living in Our House that airs already tonight, recently also posed for Vogue Korea (via Fashion Seoul), where she wore the luxurious designs by ROSA. K.
The november issue of GQ Korea (via TopStarNews) features a smouldering Ji Chang Wook as he models for Calvin Klein Jeans, which is known for its sexy ad campaigns. With his fit and muscular physique, the actor seems perfectly suited to promote the cool and sporty Calvin Klein designs.
Although it has been over a month since W–Two Worlds finished its run, its seems Korea has not yet moved on, as can be concluded from this couple shoot with Han Hyo Joo and Lee Jong Suk for the November issue of Dazed magazine. Although, I personally had trouble getting into W myself and dropped it rather early on, I admit this pictorial is pretty hot, with the pair looking exceptionally pretty in each others arms.
The upcoming November issue of Elle Korea features the always delightful Jung Ryeo Won. The actress models glamorous make-up in the shoot, with particular emphasis on the bright pink and red lipstick colors, which look exceptionally good on her.
It's been a while since we've heard from Lee Hyo Ri, who has been living a happy, quiet life with her husband away from the media buzz. Yet Marie Claire Korea still managed to interview the singer about her comeback plans next year, while also revealing the accompanying photo shoot on its webpage.
I have to say I really like this pictorial because of its low-key, almost serene atmosphere as Hyo Ri wears minimal make-up and poses against a countryside nature backdrop. There's no added glitz or glamour that you'd expect from a fashion shoot, which is quite refreshing.
Everyone's favourite lone wolf Lee Jun Ki from the currently airing Moon Lovers is featured in the recent photo shoots with Singles and Marie Claire. The pictorial for Singles can be found in the magazine's new November issue, while the spread for Marie Claire is actually from its September edition.
Actress Han Ye Ri makes a stunning transformation from recent role in Age of Youth, where she portrayed the hard-working and plainly dressed Jin Myung, to a beautiful lady as she poses for the November issues of Cosmopolitan and Marie Claire (via TopStarNews) in full make-up and fancier attire.
Lee Min Jung looks extremely stylish and elegant in the upcoming November issue of Grazia (via Fashion Seoul). The spread was shot last month in Italy during the Milan Fashion Week, which the actress attended as Salvatore Ferragamo's muse.
Hallyu lifestyle and fashion magazine Korea Wind Direction (韩国风向) features the always good-looking Ji Chang Wook on the cover of its October issue. Sadly, the two teaser photos from the interior spread are not particularly exciting concept-wise, but having a dog on the set definitely improves things in my book.
Go Ara recently posed for a pictorial in the October issue of the lifestyle magazine Style Chosun. Dressed in a variety of somewhat eclectic fall looks, the actress also got her hands on Fendi bags, which served as her co-models for the shoot.
In other news, Go Ara's will be soon returning to dramaland with the Silla period drama Hwarang: The Beginning, which finished filming last month and airs in December.
Checking back in with the dramas I've been watching. There was abundance of cute in Shopping King Louis, there was even more bad editing in Moon Lovers, there was an ass trying to not be an ass in Drinking Solo and there were three people starting a relationship together in Jealousy Incarnate. Hence, lots to talk about.
Park Bo Gum is equally snazzy and boyish in these new CF ads for digital media platform ALLETS (via TopStarNews), where he wears perfectly fitted suits along with a cheeky smile on his face. What a blessing he is, really.
This charming manga adaptation is a quirky mix of 50 First Dates and Sherlock, telling the story of a forgetful detective and her unlucky admirer as she goes about solving one-day cases and he tries to win her over each day. Despite its far-fetched premise and fairly simplistic plot, the drama is full of pleasant surprises and manages to be consistently enjoyable all-throughout. You won't find intricate mysteries here, but you finish each episode with a smile on your face.
Updates on Drinking Solo, Shopping King Louis, Jealousy Incarnate and somewhat extended thoughts on this week's Moon Lovers, where shit went down all at once. Again, I had no time to check out The K2, but since I have my plate already very full, I don't feel the need to rush into it right now.
I admit I have no shame in blatantly girl crushing over Shin Min Ah and belatedly posting a pictorial she did back in August for Marie Claire Korea. These gorgeous shots feature the actress wearing jewelry by StoneHenge and her own trademark smile as she poses for the camera with comfortable yet elegant, feminine charm.
Actress Jung Ryeo Won is featured in a new pictorial for Style Chosun (via TopStarNews), where she wears fall outfits from Burberry, with particular emphasis on the chic trenchcoats. While the eye make-up seems a little strong in this photo shoot, I do think she looks great in fall colours and styles.
Having recently wrapped up the medical drama Doctors, Kim Rae Won finally gets some vacation time as Maire Claire takes him to sunny L.A. for a pictorial in the magazine's October edition. The desert-like backdrop and warm lighting gives the handsome actor a healthy sunkissed look as he poses for the camera.
Beloved Answer Me 1988 actor Ryu Jun Yeol is featured in the upcoming October issue of Marie Claire where he manages to look cheeky-cute, regardless of the ugly turtleneck sweaters and grandpa pants he's forced to wear for this photo shoot. I just want to pinch him lovingly.
Having been watching dramas quite a lot lately, I feel there's a need for a quick, jumbled update on them. Since my schedule is quite full these days, so it's starting to get rather difficult keeping up with all of them, especially with the addition of two new dramas last week - The K2 and Shopping King Louie. Although for this post, I only found time for the latter.
Having wrapped up their second world tour last year, Infinite made their long-awaited comeback just a few days ago on September 19th with "The Eye", title track for their sixth mini album Infinite Only. Infinite has always been one of those groups that manages to stick to their own distinct sound and image, while trying out different concepts. "The Eye" is a good example of that. Although this concept feels more mature than their last releases "Back" and "Bad", it is still very Infinite-like.
Today Vogue Korea released a lovely promotional photo shoot with Ji Chang Wook and Yoona, who will be playing the leading couple in tvN's new drama The K2.
While I don't really get the oversized clothing (though, when do I ever get the stylistic choices in these shoots), I do like the gentle, sweet chemistry I see between Ji Chang Wook and Yoona in the photos. The slightly messy hair and soft warm lighting compliments their naturally good looks nicely, while also keeping the concept simple yet romantic.
Ji Chang Wook, whom we can soon see back on our screens in the drama The K2, poses for the September issue of Harper's BAZAAR. While he's making a weird fashion statement in the last picture by wearing pajamas with a fancy jacket, I do like the more intimate close-up shots of his pretty face.
We're 11 days away from the premiere of The K2, the upcoming drama about a bodyguard hired to protect the wife of a presidential candidate. After a plentiful of teasers, trailers and stills, we finally also get a look at the posters, featuring all of our four main leads - Ji Chang Wook, Im Yoona, Song Yoon Ah and Jo Sung Ha.
After an insane number of posters, teasers and whatnot, the highly-anticipated Bu Bu Jing Xin remake Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Goryeo finally premiered on August 29th. As SBS decided to air three episodes on the first week, it seems like an appropriate time to weigh in with my thoughts and impressions on the drama.
TvN's Youtube channel has released three new teaser trailers for its upcoming fall drama The K2. Each of the three clips features a different character, played by Ji Chang Wook, Song Yoon Ah and Im Yoona.
Few days ago, on August 30th, Sunny Hill released the music video for their new song called "On the Way Home", which hints heavily at a possible disbandment. Although LOEN Entertainment has not yet confirmed the rumours of the group breaking up, after watching the clip myself, there seems to be valid reasons for worry.
JTBC drama Fantastic is just four days away and network has released the main posters for the series, which has promised to keep it light in spite of the heavy theme of a woman suffering from a terminal illness. And so far all the promo material has me believing, albeit cautiously, that this show might just keep its word.
My long-awaited Ji Chang Wook comeback is finally starting to take shape.
The K2 is an upcoming fall drama series about a former soldier Kim Je Ha (played by Ji Chang Wook) hired as a bodyguard to protect Choi Yoo Jin, the wife (Song Yoon Ah) of presidential candidate Jang Se Joon (Cho Seong Ha). Candidate Jang's secret daughter is Ko An Na (Im Yoon Ah), who suffers from a childhood trauma and thus lives an isolated life. The drama is directed by Kwak Jung Hwan, whose previous works include Conspiracy in the Court and Chuno, and the script comes from Jang Hyuk Rin, the writer of Yong Pal and Reset.
Indeed, SBS has released even more posters for Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart: Goryeo and I'm beginning to worry if it's trying to compensate for something else. Though, hopefully, it is just taking full advantage of Lee Jun Ki's pretty face for the most logical purpose you can think of - gluing these posters all over yourself, your house and your cat.
I know everyone has probably seen all of these by now, but I needed them on my blog. So, for your (and my) viewing pleasure, the cast of Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart: Goryeo for Cosmopolitan's August edition. Enjoy!
