Actor-model Lee Soo Hyuk, who we'll be seeing soon in the upcoming drama High School King of Savvy, poses in the midst of lush greenery in this fresh pictorial for 1st Look. The concept for the photo shoot makes me think of forest fairies and Soo Hyuk's out-of-this-world looks definitely adds a mystical appeal to the photos.
Jo Jung Suk is a busy guy these days as his movie career seems to be taking off very nicely, with him playing a villainous role opposite Hyun Bin in The Fatal Encounter and Shin Min Ah's husband in upcoming remake of My Love, My Bride.
However, the actor has somehow made time to pose in a pictorial for L'Officiel Hommes, where he's dressed in casual suits and looking rather moody.
I am proud to say that SPICA has become one of my favourite girl groups in K-pop right now. I'm even a little mad at myself that I didn't discover them earlier because it's hard to find female K-pop idols that are vocally this talented. In fact, they sing so well that it's hard to find a live performance of SPICA that I don't like.
If anyone of you is following me on Twitter, you probably know that the newest drama on my plate is tvN's romcom Witch's Romance, which I started watching last Wednesday. The drama is apparently a remake of Taiwanese series My Queen, starring Ethan Ruan and Cheryl Yang. I have not seen the original, though I have heard of it and even planned to watch it at one point. Why I never did, I don't even know. But I am enjoying the Korean version quite well enough, so perhaps I'm willing to give a chance to the original as well. With 7 episodes watched, I've basically just reached the beginning of the angsty part of the drama, so expect more of my Twitter rants in the days to come and, if I'm feeling particularly vocal, maybe even a follow-up to this post. But until then, I'd like to share some random thoughts on the drama.
One of the dramas I enjoyed the most last year was definitely Itazura na Kiss: Love in Tokyo, so this news is making me really excited. The series was flawed and it was mostly just fluff, but there was something utterly sweet and endearing about it. Apparently, the second season was confirmed sometime at the end of last year and all the main characters are confirmed to reprise their roles. The filming began in February and is set to finish in June.
My Melody of Lyrics series gets a name change today. From now on, the series will be called Lyrical...um, whatever-day-it-is. Today, as you can see, it's called Lyrical Monday. And from now on this series will not be perhaps as focused on analysing the lyrics of a song (though I will still do that sometimes) but it's mostly going to be a way for me to introduce my you guys to some new songs that you might have not heard yet.
But why we're here today is because everyone's favourite Monday boyfriend Kang Gary and singer Jung In, who's a frequent collaborator of Leessang's, released a brand new single on May 27th titled"Your Scent", and I've been listening to this song like crazy for the last few days.
TvN has released two brand new posters and a teaser trailer for the soon-airing Summer season drama High School King of Savy.
Seo In Guk plays a double role in High School King as the story revolves around Lee Min Suk, an 18-year-old high school student who ends up posing as his older brother, a department director of a large company. Min Suk is a hockey star and a popular kid at his high school, while his hyung is a talented businessman in his twenties. It's a little puzzling as to why would the younger brother go around pretending to be his hyung suddenly, or how is it that no-one catches on to him, but I guess that's going to be the comic aspect of the drama.
