Shin Min Ah is second of the three cover girls for the next month's anniversary issue of Cosmopolitan. In the pictorial, she is a romantic urban-bohemian beauty, rocking a new hairdo with bangs. In August's Allure, however, Shin Min Ah stuns us with three different looks. First she's a glamorous diva, then a lively modern-day party girl, and finally a sweet elegant lady.
Choi Jin Hyuk is the guy I would want to see in a lead role already, because I'm tired of female leads saying "no" to this guy. But for now, we have to settle with him being cast as Lee Min Ho's (hot) older stepbrother in the upcoming The Heirs. It doesn't hurt either that he's gracing the pages of a bunch of magazines this summer. Prepare for eye-candy!
Monstar is one of the dramas I am currently watching and one of the best things about the show is its choice of music. From the drama's soundtrack it is BoA's "Atlantis Princess", which I hadn't heard until Monstar even though the song was released back in 2003, that I've listened the most. There are several versions of the song, first is BoA's, which is the most upbeat and poppish, then there is Lena Park's version, which is the longest, and then there is the Monstar version by Ha Yeon Soo, Kim Cho Eun and Kang Ha Neul. I think I personally like Lena Park's version a tiny bit more than the others because I love the little nuances of her voice, but all three versions are great. I also like the lyrics, which are really lovely.
Miss A's Suzy is everywhere! She's sensual yet youthful for both Cosmopolitan and GEEK, she models Bean Pole's handbags in Elle, and she takes on two different photo shoots for Harper's BAZAAR. Does this girl ever rest?
I'm half-way through Who Are You? which means it's kinda late to do a First Impressions post now, so I'm giving you this Half-time Report instead. Though, I guess, I'm still going to be talking about the same things as I would in a First Impressions post, it's just that there are going to be more spoilers. Which reminds me, SPOILER ALERT! EPISODES 1-8!
WHICH ASIAN DRAMA ARE YOU ANTICIPATING FOR THE NEXT SEASON?
And we've finally reached the end. Yeah, it took to me a lot more than just 30 days to finish this challenge, but at least I can say that I answered all my questions very thoroughly. I have to admit that the last ten days got a little bit tedious because I felt like I was talking about the same dramas over and over again, but I am still glad that I did it. The questions were fun (though sometimes a bit difficult) to answer to and they helped me to get a better overview of my likes and dislikes about Asian dramas. And I also hope that thanks to the challenge you now know what kind of a drama addict I am.
Okay, I'm cheating a bit (again). The question that I initially was supposed to answer today was Favourite thing about your favourite actor/actress, but I feel I already answered this question in day 15and 16 posts. So I decided not to repeat myself and chose a new question from another version of this challenge. I hope it's okay.
As you might know, I like to include memorable quotes from dramas to my reviews and so I tend to write them down right when I hear them in the series. So there are a lot. But instead of choosing an all time favourite quote I just browsed through my notes and chose a small selection of quotes that I like.
I think M.I.B. is climbing to become my new favourite K-pop group. I've been listening to their recent release "Men in Black" for non-stop every day and I'm just loving the energy that the boys have on stage.
So I came across this interview that they had with Allkpop last year and I had to share it with you guys. I love how relaxed and fun they are in the interview, and I like that they really try to show the viewers their real personality (Even though 5Zic says at the end of the video that he hopes that the fans won't think they are always like that. Ha, I think he's worried that fans now think the Japanese adult video star Aoi Sora really is his favourite actress XD). I'm still trying to get to know these guys but, thanks to this vid, I learned quite a lot about their personalities.
For instance: that 5Zic is the most social and articulate out of them, that despite his aggressive on-stage persona Sims isn't really that scary but actually rather cute, that Cream seems the most mature and serious out of the four, and that while Kangnam is usually very composed on stage he's quite cheeky in real life.
Hmm....the funniest? Intentionally funny or unintentionally funny? Because some dramas are incredibly funny when they try not to be. (*cough* Boys Over Flowers *cough* Dr. Jin *cough*). But seriously speaking, I usually don't like too over-exaggerated comedy (and I despise toilet humor). Yet, I have to admit that the first dramas that pop into my head as the laugh-out-loud funniest have mostly been filled with silly and outrageous hijinks. Go figure.
